There are many people out there with pet allergies. The symptoms could range from sneezing to breathing difficulty. The immune system of allergic individuals over-react when they encounter unknown antigens (protein compounds) on the dander, saliva or urine of their pets.
Brushing their coat and giving regular baths to pets could reduce owners’ exposure to the allergens. Fur may trap dander, urine or saliva if not regularly groomed. However, fur itself is not the source of allergy.
Keeping the environment clean could also aid in reducing the severity of allergies for allergic individuals. We are happy to advice.

Random note – we happened to walk pass a Dyson Ad at City hall station today and was shocked that they used a picture of a hair follicle to (incorrectly) potray pet’s dander. Dander is the dead skin cells (squames) that animals shed. It is similar to dandruff.
